What’s here:
This site not only has information about services I offer, but is intended to demonstrate many of my web skills. I designed the web site to serve as an advertisement of my quality and versatility.
A number of development tools and some templates were used as a basis for creating the site, but the majority of the layout and graphics were individually crafted.
Click the Sample menu for some additional features and go to the Resume link for a concise work history. You may download the file there or from the FTP link.
My biggest disappointment is that I could not personally host the site on my own web server. While I have built two functional web servers for this purpose, my broadband provider has blocked web server protocols. I expect to change providers in the next few months so I can launch my own web services.
Thanks for visiting and please return soon. If you have any questions, if you want to contact me about consulting, or if you just want to ask me how I created some feature of this site, feel free to send me an e-mail.

(Current Employer) |
March 1993 - Present |

Senior Network Engineer
• I hold crucial responsibilities for developing and maintaining internal development, business, and call center computers. Internal systems include Windows, Unix, and Novell servers.
• I support thousands of client facilities to resolve networking, remote access, installation, migration, security and other issues. These facilities use a variety of network operating systems, LAN and WAN topologies and often do not have experienced staff or local technical assistance. Through this experience, I learned many applications, operating system and network tools on and between multiple platforms.
• I work constantly to improve our services to clients, and was responsible for many technical improvements, significant cost savings, improved business efficiencies, and improved client satisfaction. As part of this, I kept my technical skills current and researched many new technologies. I am very driven to improve services and provide the best technical options available for the least expense and the greatest business benefit.
• With my employers encouragement, I also consult to many clients.
• I have trained more than a dozen new employees with limited computer skills to be network administrators and engineers. I have also travelled to train client facilities to install and maintain our software.
• I frequently created technical and client documentation. I am an experienced writer with excellent communication skills.

• Through independent research I was able to produce significant cost savings and a major expansion of key account business.

Prior Experience |
August 1983 - April 1992 |
• During the ten years prior to moving to California, I worked in North and South Carolina for firms in the Hospitality, Payroll, Rent-to-Own, and Office Equipment industry. I worked for each as a Software Developer and Network Engineer. In each case, I also was required to work on multiple O/S including Novell, Unix, Windows, and other network operating systems. Each job also required travel throughout southern states. At my first position, I also managed a technical support department of four people for six years. These jobs gave me experience in the various financial and business operating models as well as a firm grasp on what core goals are important to business success.
